I wanted to catch that moment when our cats are at rest and they are either wondering what we want or if they heard the sound of cat food dishes being prepared.
I wanted to use bold colours and also create that warm spot around the belly where, if you're lucky you may just be able to touch, feeling that soft warm area just before you get the welcome 'meow' or maybe teeth and claws if you're not so lucky.

Full description
This is an appliqued wall-hanging depicting a sleeping tabby cat.
It measures 82 cm x 69 cm
The design is unique and was inspired by my own cats.
The fabrics are cottons and polycottons.
The wall-hanging is wadded has been free-motion quilted to add texture.
The backing is a green polycotton fabric and the wall hanging has a patchwork boarder and has been finished with a stripey binding.
At present I have not added any method for hanging. The purchaser may choose either a long pocket sewn to the backing for a rod, tabs along the top edge for a pole or I can sew velcro to the backing for a flush wall finish. The choice only needs to be indicated before the item is sent.
