Ok so i know acorns usually come from oak trees but when im at the lathe wood tends to reveal whatever shape i make and this one was an acorn.
Made from yew which is a beautiful wood with amazing grain and such a tactile material .
Yew is know as the resurrection tree because of its ability to root from branches that touch the ground forming new trees.
this would make an ideal gift for him or her
