I often take a rucksack on a walk, simply to carry water bottles, because I prefer to keep my hands free. This specific holder seems a good alternative.

This bottle bag is perfect for the dog-lover in your life. Carrying a bottle of water is a great plan for our hydration and is also good for the environment if it means we don’t buy more bottled drinks. If you’re out for a walk, that water bottle can be a nuisance but here is a solution that will leave your hands free to climb over stiles, hold a dog lead or hold someone else’s hand.
This lovely water bottle bag, made from lightly quilted, quality cotton fabric, is designed to be worn across your body. The outer fabric is decorated with a variety of dog breed images. Coordinating black and turquoise fabrics enhance the bag and the strong yellow strap completes it. The strap is more than able to take the weight of a full water bottle without stretching and the length is adjustable to suit your height. With no fastenings, your drink is easily accessible whilst being held safely upright.
This holder, laid flat, measures 16cm across and 22cm deep. It will easily transport most drinks bottles or hot drinks cups, but do measure your favourite cup first, just to make sure. The built in pocket, designed to hold your phone, measures 9.5 x16.5cm. The photo also shows a clip on treat/snack pouch, available separately.
