Full description
Play I-Spy anywhere! A cosy quilted blanket with an inbuilt game to keep children (and their families and friends) busy playing and learning. All the 4.5" (11.5cm) squares are cut from novelty fabrics with images ranging from aeroplanes to elephants, beach huts to tigers, jelly beans to sheep and so much more.
Great for toddlers developing language and recognition skills and older children getting to grips with phonics as they play I-Spy.
The quilt measures 50" wide by 58" long (127cm x 147cm). The patchwork top and back are 100% cotton and the inner wadding is quilters weight polyester. Warm, cosy and easy to machine wash and dry.
For the quilting (that holds all the layers of the quilt together) I've stitched arcs echoing across the quilt from the top left hand corner. These emphasise the darker blue 'shadows' under each of the novelty print squares and help to give the impression that the squares are floating above the quilt.
Around the edge of the quilt is a cotton, double thickness homemade binding. I've stitched a label to the back giving details of when and where the quilt was made.
