I adore cats but alas, my husband is allergic to them. We have our little hamster, but cats are what I love. So here's my homage to cats. I loved doing this piece - I hope you like it too.

Full description
This is an original handmade linocut print of a cheeky cat looking longingly at a ball of string! Left blank for your own message.
I use creative commons photographs to inspire me, sketch these in my sketchbook, transfer to lino block and then carve with Pfeil cutting tools. I handprint each copy.
They are printed on 250gsm white acid free card with a matching 100gsm white envelope. The card is A6 size measuring 10.5 x 14.8cm (4.2 x 5.8 inches). The white envelope measures 11.4 x 16.2 cm (4.45 x 6.4 inches).
The colours used are 'black', ‘Napthol Red’ and ‘Opaque White’ Caligo Safe Wash Relief inks. These are professional quality vegetable oil-based inks containing high quality ink rather than dye so offer excellent light fastness. That means they are less likely to fade in sunlight over time.
The professional quality oil-based ink and acid free card make this a perfect piece of art that looks charming framed and displayed for years to come. A card, keepsake and gift all in one (please note that my art does not include any frames shown in the pictures).
Because I hand mix the inks and print by hand you can be assured that every print is unique, coming out slightly differently depending on how I ink up the lino and the pressure I use when printing.
I post everything, UK only, Royal Mail 1st class, cello wrapped, in a board backed envelope. I post within 3 working days.
