I have been wanting to use my cyanotypes for what I like to call ‘practical art’, and I thought a book cover would be perfect! I wanted to learn a technique that would be simple yet effective and when I saw this French link binding I fell in love. To have the spine exposed so you can see this beautiful stitch just adds to the character of the book as well as showing the love and care that went into its creation. I am also obsessed with cyanotypes, another simple yet very effective process which creates such stunning effects!

Full description
The perfect little companion for your pocket to use whenever you need to jot something down or inspiration strikes! This is a lovingly handmade notebook ready to use in size A6 or 4.1x5.8 inches. I have used original cyanotypes which I printed onto fine watercolour paper. This particular one features Anemone Blanda Blue flowers which I have grown from bulbs in my garden.
The thread used for binding is brown. This book has been bound with a French link binding technique using wax coated thread. The beauty of this technique means pages can be laid flat when opened, easing use when writing or drawing as well as simple page turning.
These notebooks have 20 blank pages (or 40 front and back). The paper used for the pages is a 75gsm cartridge paper ideal for notetaking or sketching.
The spine of the book has been glued so there are no gaps when you open the page.
This item will come wrapped in protective packaging and posted via the royal mail in a non bendable envelope to protect it. All items are sent 2nd class to reduce costs to the buyer so may take a little longer for delivery.
