Ay-up! My childhood was half-spent in a rather posh area of Nottingham, and the other half in, erm... quite the opposite. So, I had to take a crash course in Nottingham slang. It's been quite a trip down memory lane illustrating this tea towel and I had real fun pulling it together. It reminded me, how as a kid I'd feed a bobbo, have a cheese cob in my snap and get some dudoos from the sweet shop. Knobby greens had to be hidden in mashed potato, and on a hot day, if I was lucky, I'd get a sucker from the ice cream van. We had three moggies, and my next-door neighbour's nickname was also Moggeh (it's important to say a 'y' as an 'eh'). Croggies were great, either standing on the trick-nuts at the back, or sitting on the handle bars – It's actually quite amazing that I made it through the 80s to create this!

Full description
Thanks for viewing my 'How to Speak Nottingham' greetings card.
This is without a doubt the one thing that draws people to my stalls at craft markets. It doesn't matter if you're from Notts, have relations from Notts, or just visiting – everyone seems to pick it up! There's local dialect on the front, and translations on the back.
They're printed on premium 'Fresco Gesso' which has a lovely matt, textured finish, and is FSC certified. They come with 100% recycled 'duolopes' – envelopes which are white on the outside, and brown kraft paper on the inside. The cards measure 148x148mm square.
For protection I package them in Nativia compostable cello sleeves and post out first-class in a sturdy card-backed envelope. I always try to post on the same day that I receive an order, usually second-class, but I can bump it up to first if you need it in a hurry.
Keeping with the theme, they're printed in Nottinghamshire and I also buy envelopes and sleeves from a local company - I try to keep my carbon footprint down wherever I can.
I have more cards and matching tea towels/prints for sale in my store, please do have a look around.
Ta ducks,
Dan.
