This painting began with a charcoal drawing which was quite special in itself. I blogged that I was “awaiting inspiration activation,” a point in time where I was ready to paint. It was days later the intention came. I won’t forget that day, something unexpected happened which spun everything around and I really dug deep. In between some stressful meetings I did this! I had fun painting boldly, quickly, smudging the charcoal, drawing it into the paint, not thinking too much, letting the emotions move through my paintbrush. The lines juxtapose with the flowing circles. Very cathartic!
