Who doesn’t love purple and blue pansies? The rich colours and velvety texture; nature is wonderful. I love how this has come together. I did a lot of work studying the distinctive foliage ‘clusters’ and feel happy with the form and how the leaves have blended into the inky, textured background to give depth. The colours are so fresh and bright.

Full description
An original one-off acrylic mixed-media painting on stretched canvas by Cambridgeshire Artist, Rachel James, Winter Pansies is 56cm x 46cm x 2cm.
Rachel incorporates texture and collage media into each layer of her paintings; vintage books, newspapers, tissue paper, printed paper, along with acrylic inks, paints and mediums to create depth and texture. She creates her own printed papers and draws with collage and acrylic paint until the colours vibrate.
The painting wraps beautifully around the edges therefore framing is not necessary. It is professionally finished with gloss varnish which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The painting is unframed and comes ready-to-hang.
This original piece will give your home a fabulous blast of colour hung on a light or dark wall.
Delivery is via ParcelForce Express48 service (UK) or ParcelForce International.
Local customers are welcome to arrange collection, please add a note on your order and I will refund the postage.
