Aventurine is a form of Chalcedony, a compact and microcrystalline Quartz.
Green Aventurine, like most green stones, is thought to bring inner peace, tranquility and enhance self-esteem.
It is sometimes called the the Stone of Luck, or the Gambler's stone, as it is believed that carrying a piece of Aventurine in the left pocket will attract wealth and good fortune.
Aventurine is not listed as a birthstone, but the green variety is often used and an alternative to Emerald (May) and Peridot (August).
Black spinel is very durable and has high reflectance, making it an excellent stone for jewellery.
The AAA quality faceted beads I have used here are just beautiful, so shiny and sparkly that it is easy to understand why black spinel was often mistaken for black diamond.
In July 2016, Spinel was named a new birthstone for the month of August by the American Gem Trade Association, alongside Peridot.

Full description
Each pretty earring features a 10x8mm Green Aventurine nugget topped with a 2mm Onyx spacer, a 3mm laser cut sterling silver 'stardust' bead and a trio of AAA grade faceted Black Spinel beads.
The Black Spinel beads are beautifully faceted to give a subtle sparkle when they catch the light.
The green Aventurine beads are a lovely, fresh, sage green colour.
The beads are threaded onto sterling silver pins and hung from sterling silver wires, which are stamped '925'.
These earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
