Full description
PRODUCT - 5 x 7in Greeting Card and Envelope - Printed on 250gsm white matt board with 100gsm envelope - Blank Inside - Available as a Birthday Card, Anniversary, Retirement, Single Plain Card or Pack of Six Plain Cards.
HISTORY - The MGB was a two seater convertible launched in 1962 to replace the MGA and was manufactured from 1968 to 1980
The engine size was increased to 1798cc from 1622cc giving a 0-60mph of 11 seconds and with the redesigned body using the then monocoque construction it was more comfortable with larger driver and passenger accommodation despite being shorter than the previous MGA.
Unfortunately in the last five years of its life it was subject to too many design compromises in an attempt to meet the new stringent American safety regulations in 1974 the bumpers were replaced with steel reinforced black ones that dramatically changed the look of the car along with reduced power and raising the ride height of the car as an economical way of getting round the new US headlight regulations.
PHOTOGRAPH - I photographed this car in 2019 at a Classic Car Rally in Brighton.
