For a long time I thought that it was a shame that beautiful tin got put away in cupboards on thrown away. I was sorting out my cupboards and found an old panettone tin and I thought ‘earrings’. I bit of rummaging around and I found my jewellery saw and started to cut it up. The first earrings were made. Now with each new tin I acquire I spend time looking at it until the earring or necklace designs show themselves, I very rarely have the design first before the tin. I like the unplanned making which are opposite to my print which have to be planned out first.
