My mother spent time in a TB hospital conveyancing and filled her time making toys and handicrafts. After she died, I discovered a box of cardboard patterns made from cereal boxes and held together with string and safety pins. No instructions.
Piran the Polar comes out of this box and once I had worked out how to make him, I updated the design to make it my own.

This project could be a good starting point to start creating your own simple toys.
Or
Why not make this with a young sewer? They will increase their skill levels and have good fun in the process. I encourage you to put your own finishing touches to your bear so that your Polar bear is completely unique.
