I am inspired by the story of the kelpie. Even though he is quite a fearsome creature, there is something about the fairy tale of a beautiful horse turning in to a handsome man that can be thrilling. I also like the grittiness that he isn't benevolent if you can't resist then you will be whisked away.
I originally made these in clay but the tail was so delicate that they often didn't survive being posted so I changed my material to one that would survive being posted.
