I'd been to the beach and I was looking at shells. I wanted to paint a shell-like picture, also I wanted to infuse the painting with the vibrancy of nature and the sheer joy of it. I used a speckle like effect to create the basis of a forest like setting and used the gold and orange to try to express the vibrant and yet softness of nature.
