Like many crafters I try very hard to minimse wasted materials, but invariably I end up with pieces of fabric that are rather small. These are too beautiful to throw away so I am always looking for ways to use them, and from my love of patchwork I was inspired by i-spy quilts.
But on a smaller scale. I remember many hours playing i-spy with my kids on the train or in restaurants - and despairing at the lack of options to spot. These little playmats are perfect at home or on the go, and brillant at placemats at mealtimes.
All of my items are lovingly made in Wales by me to my own design using quality materials, great craftsmanship and much attention to detail.

Can you find the knight's sword? What about the seal wearing headphones? My reversible I-spy mats are perfect for developing language and communication skills, as well as a great activity game that can be played alone or with friends. Easily rolled up to fit in a day bag or holiday luggage, it's perfect to use in restaurants and on car or train journeys, as well as play at home.
A fun gift for a child of any age, my playmats are tested to EN71 toy safety standards and are UKCA (the UK version of CE) marked.
There are 20 different fabrics on each side, in themes and colours that appeal to both boys and girls. On one side they can search for castles, princesses, dragons and dinasours... and on the other side they'll find egg hunting gnomes and Santa diving into a swimming pool.

The prints have been carefully chosen to provide a wide range of images from simple to more detailed - to vary the complexity of play. As well as the traditional i-spy game, you can also search for specific items, images, shapes or colours, as well as introducing simple counting or directions.
Images and placement will vary on each mat, but will include similar themes to that in the photos.
Materials: a patchwork of 100% cotton prints on each side interlined with a thin wadding and lightly quilted.
Care: Hand or machine wash at 40, dry flat or tumble at low temperature. Medium iron.
