This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I've made three little butterflies joined, so they fly all together, into a pretty shape as a single suncatcher.
Each butterfly is differently coloured green, turquoise and teal.
I've used lots of different textures of glass, some streaky to make them flutter. The heads are pretty little colour matched millefiori beads.
The butterflies are firmly attached to each other and hang from a silvery little chain which is securely fastened at the top with soldered wire rings.
This looks simply stunning hanging in the window and would make a lovely ornament for any room. It is approximately 19cmx16cm.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
The 2nd to last photo is of a previous version now sold so you can see it in a different colour scheme.
This would make a lovely present at any time. I also make a trio of dragonfles. See last photo.
