Welcome to my shop full of needle felt birds, artfully made in wool and natural fibres.
I am busy felting new birds and making plans for some exciting new collections for 2026. I only add finished birds to my Folksy shop, so you can rest assured they can be posted within 24 hours of ordering and will fly safely to you or a gift recipient within a few days.

I first saw these tiny little birds in a big fir tree with huge mauve coloured fir cones. I could see something fluffy and stripey, which seemed weirdly balanced as it flitted among the branches. It was of course the Long-tailed tit, who would be one of our tiniest birds except for that amazingly long tail. I love making them life-size as well as in this mini 1:4 scale, tucked tidily in their own glass jar.
Safety information
Glass jar must be handled with care to avoid breakage. Do not remove the cork from the bell jar. If seperated only gentle pressure should be applied to reattach the bell jar and cork. The tiny bird is permanently attached to its plinth and contains wool products and wire wrapped in yarn forming its legs.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

One-of-a-kind hand-made needlefelt wool Long-tailed tit perched in their own tiny glass jar wrapped with a ribbon in their own protective gift box.
Perfect in every detail, this cute and characterful garden bird measures just over 3.5cms long and 1.5cms tall, stands on tiny wire legs, has a minute wool beady eye and beak, and individually crafted flight and tail feathers. Scaled to 1:4 of life-size, this dainty little bird fits easily inside the 10cm high by 4.5cm diameter glass spice jar sealed with a cork stopper.
Quirky, sweet and full of character, my birds are tiny works of art designed to be educational and decorative items for the adult collector and are not toys.
All the birds in my 1:4 scale range can be displayed together as a 'true to life' set, perfectly representing the comparative sizes, colours and characters of our garden birds.
