Full description
This handsome lion has been needle felted using woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle to sculpt the fibres into shape. The basic shape has been formed using core wool and then a top coat in appropriate colours has been applied and the luscious mane added. The tail is formed over wire to allow it to be gently posed. The legs have also been made over wire formers to add strength and stability and a wooden dowel has been used to aid mounting. The eyes are also needle felted. The lion has been mountedon an oval shaped piece of plywood covered in artificial grass.
This lion measures approximately 22cm long x 16cm tall.
This is an ornamental sculpture, and is not intended as a toy.
