Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Bee tile in lovely shades of Yellow and Green.
The bee is striped yellow and dark brown and has wings of iridescent clear textured glass. The head is a glass nugget with dichroic glass eyes I fused in my kiln. The surround is clear prettily textured glass which has a super texture.
I've then framed the suncatcher with a pretty green glass border with yellow corners.
I've added a twisted wire frame round the suncatcher for strength and neatness.
It looks wonderful in the window with the sun casting the colours which change with the light, It also makes a very pretty picture hanging on the wall.
The suncatcher is 14 cm top to bottom and formed from a 10 cm square.
It hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached at the top corner.
I I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
