Upon retiring from a long and happy career as a physiotherapist, I embarked upon an applied arts degree. This led me to ceramics, where I have discovered a passion for combining glazed earthenware, lightbox drawings and gold leaf to create completely unique decorative pieces.
Each and every piece I make is one of a kind.

Using a mold of cardboard, the mug is both press-moulded and slab-built, resulting in a distinct textured surface that mimics the look of corrugated cardboard.
The mug is beautifully adorned with delicate fine-line pen and watercolour illustrations featuring rosehips, a quintessential symbol of autumn’s natural bounty. These intricate designs are carefully transformed into transfers and finished with a vibrant colour onglaze, ensuring that every detail of the artwork is preserved with stunning clarity. A final layer of transparent glaze adds a glossy finish, enhancing the depth of colour and protecting the delicate illustrations.
