Upon retiring from a long and happy career as a physiotherapist, I embarked upon an applied arts degree. This led me to ceramics, where I have discovered a passion for combining glazed earthenware, lightbox drawings and gold leaf to create completely unique decorative pieces.
Each and every piece I make is one of a kind.

This unique, decorative jug is part of The Carboard Ceramics Collection from award-winning ceramicist, Frances Lee.
Introducing the Decorative Jug with Crimson Leaf from the Cardboard Ceramics Collection—a vibrant celebration of nature's beauty, brought to life in ceramic form. This striking jug is crafted from white earthenware, expertly press-moulded and slab-built using a cardboard mold to create a unique textured surface that mimics the look of corrugated cardboard.
The jug features a beautifully detailed crimson leaf, skilfully illustrated with fine-line pen and watercolour, then transferred onto the surface and finished with a rich colour onglaze. A transparent glaze adds a glossy finish, enhancing the vividness of the design and offering long-lasting protection.
While this jug is not intended for functional use with food or beverages, it makes a stunning decorative piece. Perfect for adding a pop of colour and artistic flair to your home, this jug is ideal for display on a mantel, shelf, or as part of a curated collection.
