I remember having dreamcatchers many moons ago during my teenage years, but I didn't know the details about their rich history until recently. I love what they represent and learning about their story only adds to my appreciation of them.
I wanted to add my own little twist with the accent of dried flowers whilst maintaining the traditional characteristics of a dreamcatcher.

Full description
It is believed that dream catchers originated with Asibaikaashi aka the Spider Woman. She was a guardian of the Ojibwe people, a native American tribe. However, as they spread out geographically, it became more difficult to look after them. To help, the Ojibwe women started weaving magical webs as a form of protection for the infants. The hoops were made from willow and the web from animal sinew or plant fibres.
This dreamcatcher, handmade by me, is also made with willow (sourced from our wildlife friendly garden in the Fens), a yarn web, preloved beads, pheasant feathers and dried flowers (grown organically in peat free compost, picked and dried also from our garden).
Generally seen as a cleanser of negative energy, I hope this dreamcatcher brings a piece of serenity as well as beauty to your living space.
The large hoop measures approx. 15 inches in diameter and the smaller hoop measures approx. 5.5 inches in diameter.
