This is one of the most complex pieces I make. I designed this for a commission for a customer who had moved to the seaside. I made this one today as I enjoy the finished piece so very much and the challenge in making it.
I post this first class signed for because of its value.

A very special design, a stained glass picture entirely handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a 'picture' of three bright, cheerful beach huts on a golden sandy beach by a shimmering turquoise sea.
It comprises 47 pieces of glass, all individually cut, ground, shaped, copper foiled then fitted in place like a jigsaw and soldered together.
I've used some lovely textured glass to give it movement and the sea is all iridescent glass to make it shimmer.
I love making this piece. It is great fun, also a challenge and a great sense of achievement when it's all fitted together.
It is designed to hang as a suncatcher in the window where it will catch the light and reflect its colours but also looks great on the wall as a picture.
This is 8" square and is framed with twisted wire to give strength / neatness.
It hangs from a strong silvery chain attached securely to either side of the top.
I recommend that this, to be safe, needs to hang from a proper hook rather than suction hooks as it is quite heavy at 350g.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different shades and textures of glass.
The last photo shows 9 previous versions so you can see the difference.
