A high fired lava fleck clay trinket dish with embossed vintage pattern. Glazed with a bronze effect glaze.
Lava fleck clay produces gorgeous ‘marmite’ coloured flecks after the second firing. This appear randomly and show up through the glaze. This is particularly noticeable on the underside of the dish as shown in the photographs.
The underside of this dish has a hexagon raised foot and a button with my maker's mark stamp underneath.
I am selling this piece as a ’second’ because the glazing is a little bit thick which has hidden some of the detail of the embossed pattern. It still perfectly functional as a small trinket dish for jewellery by your bedside to in your bathroom and has a lovely antique/vintage feel.
Hexagon size approximately 8.5cm in width (9cm from point to point).
