I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration from Bath College of Higher Education in 1994. After working as a Designer & Art Director in Central London for 25 years, I was forced to rethink my career path and started exploring the potential of working with clay in the autumn of 2019 :)
I have been learning all about hand building, carving and decorating, throwing on the wheel, making plaster moulds, slip casting in porcelain and messing around with some sexy glaze chemistry!
Whatever the process, every piece is lovingly hand finished and therefore completely unique and some variances are to be expected.
My messy work is contained within my dedicated studio space in our garden which is big enough for a kiln, wheel and some very sturdy old school science lab tables. I have a lovely big doors with an outlook onto the greenery of our garden and love to watch how the view changes with the seasons. I work alone but have my pottery pooch for company - he's a very cheeky little Beagle called Bodie!
