I do try to reuse cardboard, bubble wrap, padded envelopes etc where possible for environmental reasons. So please note, sometimes your packaging may have been pre-loved! Items are dispatched between 1 to 3 working days, I try my best to get them out as soon as possible. If you would like something urgently, please do drop me a message. This item will be shipped in the UK using a first class signed for service from Royal Mail. As each piece artwork is unique and one of a kind it cannot be replicated. It is really important to me that they get looked after in transit and reach their new homes safely.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
A wonderful whimsical original artwork inspired by the children's song 'I See The Moon' which was sung to me as a child. This is a one of a kind piece and is very eye-catching, it would make a proper statement piece in a home. The opening lyrics of the song are written on the piece in white ink, which gives a nostalgic feeling.
An eclectic range of collage materials have been used including a purple striped paper bag for the background, die cut moon and star shapes, corrugated card and a sweet paper cut out of a vintage girl. The deep blue night sky makes the pale gold and bronze moon and stars really twinkle. Texture has been added using silver mica paste, 3D modelling paste stars and crackle medium.
The canvas measures 20 cm wide, 38 cm high and is 1.7 cm deep. The edges have been painted with a deep blue to compliment the piece. The whole piece has been sealed with matt acrylic spray varnish for protection. It has been signed, dated and titled on the reverse of the work. This artwork can displayed by hanging on the wall using mirror plates or picture wire (not included), on a small easel or propped up on a shelf.
This piece is for sale as a second as it is older work and I am clearing my studio for all the new art I am creating!
