Painting of the hills just outside Glossop in the Peak District a spring storm was sweeping over the hills an I painted it in situ . I tried to capture the feeling of the day the air was charged with life and renewal, the scents were fresh and heavy, I got soaked but I protected the canvas I find it hard to pass by such an image when nature presents it to me and challenges me to capture it. That is why I am often to be found on the moors when sensible people are warm indoors.
