Full description

A hand stamped vintage nickel silver alloy tea spoon with the words MAKE TEA AND MEND (it used to say MAKE DO AND MEND but the addition of tea makes everything better).

This listing is for ONE handstamped teaspoon (approx. 13cm). You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. The lettering is coloured black with waterbased, non-toxic acrylic paint. Please wash carefully by hand and don't scrub the wording too hard. Please also note that this is a vintage spoon so it has a few wear marks and some residual tarnish and it is never going to polish to a bright silver colour because of its alloy composition. It's also a 'second' as the stamping didn't come out quite as I intended... It will carry on to give you many years of stirring service though.

More tea-themed spoons are in the 'Tea Spoons' collection in my shop. If you like this 'make do and mend' aesthetic there is a '1940s Style Spoons' collection too. And of course if you want to commission a bespoke spoon with your own words, just drop me a message!
