Full description
This gorgeous handmade pendant features an oval cabochon of Dulcote Agate, a rare and beautiful gemstone found at a quarry near Wells, UK. It is a form of agate in shades of pink and orange, often in circular patterns on a lighter background of quartz crystals. The one used here is a dark peach colour with a visible circle on a cream background.
The cabochon is mounted in a sterling silver bezel cup, its outer edge decorated with sterling silver square wire twisted into a spiral and soldered to the bezel cup to add texture and sparkle. I have also soldered a large round jump ring to the back and added a handmade bail for attachment to the chain. The chain shown in the photos is a sterling silver snake chain.
