The familiar path that I tread at my local beach sees me follow the rock pools that line the edge of it. Each visit is different, yet familiar, as the rock pools change with the ebb and flow of the tide. I always notice the changes and can spend hours exploring the pools... Some shallow, some deep, differing in colours from bright turquoise blue to pale sea green. Some full of life, some silent and still. However, the thing that remains the same is that they are all interlinked and flowing through each other, almost in support of one another! Then, as the tide changes and washes them away, each day brings a new start, a different direction and new life...

Full description
This beautiful statement necklace is inspired by the ever changing rock pools that edge the beach. The colours, the life and the water that flows through them.
This necklace is formed of 7 discs of Sterling Silver that have all been shaped to form a cup. They are then soldered together at differing angles to represent the flow of the water, which is never regular! The total necklace width is aprox 2.2 cm and at it's tallest point, aprox 5.7cm. A 28 inch Belcher style Sterling Silver chain is attached at one end of the domes.
The colour is added using powdered enamel that is hand fired. Just as the colours of the rock pools can change, this piece has a rich sea green that blends in to a vivid turquoise colour. The process of hand firing means that no one necklace is identical - there will always be beautiful and subtle variances in the colour, giving it a wonderful realism!
The edges of the domes are filed flat and polished. It's this that gives the necklace a beautiful contemporary feel to them and helps draw the eye in! The back of the necklace has a light brushed texture.
This necklace makes a statement! Its simple contemporary style means that it's perfect day or night and will give a pop of colour to any outfit! It would make a great gift for anyone who loves the ocean or holds a special place in their heart for Cornwall.
