Full description
This one of a kind, rose cut raw Sapphire is absolutely beautiful! A beautiful delicate blue colour with flecks of pale grey rippling through it. It reminds me of the sea that surrounds Cornwall on a hazy day when muted tones of grey and blue blend seamlessly and a great reminder that subtle beauty is right in front of you, if you can just push past the flashy stuff!! Raw sapphires have not been heat treated and as a result have beautiful variations in colour.
The stone is a slightly irregular oval in shape and has been set in a bezel style setting, measuring approximately 0.7 cm (7 mm) x 0.9 cm (9mm).
The bezel setting is attached to the bottom of a ring of Sterling Silver. The ring has been textured to catch the light, a texture that soften I use in my work that reminds me of the rugged cliffs surrounding Cornish beaches. The silver encasing the stone has been polished with a delicate satin brushed texture.
The pendant attaches to a trace style chain measuring 16 inches via rings that connect it to the large textured ring. There's a lovely organic movement to the pendant as a result of the this.
This necklace has an understated, contemporary sophistication to it, perfect for a special occasion, or everyday luxury.
