When the world turned upside down, I tuned in to nature, instead of the news. The regularity of springs budding blooms brought hope and a sense of normality while I sheltered in my Corner of Cornwall. As summer crept in, the joy I felt from those blooms, now full and vibrant, lifted me. The harshness of winter did not phase them, with grit and determination they stood tall. While their colour faded a little, their inner beauty shone through even brighter. To their core, delicate, strong and unique – an undeniable parallel to my view of the year just past. Their continued beauty beyond their bloom in the face of adversity left an impression on my mind of the year that was, that changed so much, but also reminded me of so much.

Full description
This beautiful statement pendant is part of a small and exclusive, limited edition collection of one of a kind, unique pieces of jewellery. Inspired by the delicate and strong skeleton Hydrangea petals that I collected from my very own corner of Cornwall. The process of embossing that into the metal is delicate and precarious, but I hope you agree the results are just so, so special!
The flower petal shape and detail has been pressed in to Sterling Silver, the outline then carefully cut round to give a beautiful realism to the unique piece. It's an irregular shape, but at its tallest and widest points measures 30x31mm (3.0 x 3.1 cm). The reverse of the pendant is finished with matt texture and carries a full UK hallmark, including my own makers mark.
A second pendant is part of this design is a one of a kind gemstone from my own personal collection selected to reflect the colour of the Hydrangea bushes in full bloom in my garden and those same blooms eventually became these skeleton petals. A pink Ruby, set in a bezel style setting with a delicate, rustic textured pattern. The Ruby in its setting measures aprox 11x8mm. Ruby is July's birthstone and also the stone for 15th & 40th anniversaries. Rubies are said to be associated with prosperity, wealth and leadership. Both are presented on a Belcher style chain, length of your choice.
