Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

Full description
This little embroidered piece has been hand-stitched and embellished onto natural, unbleached calico, framed with a 4’’ wooden embroidery hoop, with a cream wool felt backing and an oatmeal and red heart hanging ribbon to finish.
This festive piece features a sweet little stitched robin surrounded by holly leaves, tiny French knots and a smattering of red sequins. The message 'Hello there lovely' is chain stitched in green embroidery thread and for a final touch, the scene is encircled with little cream running stitches.
