I created the cyanotype kit during lockdown as a way to share a really fun creative activity since then it's become my bestseller in my online shops.

Full description

The love to print cyanotype kit contains everything you need to make permanent blue prints using the power of the sun.

Combining art and science the process is affordable and easy to use. Suitable for beginners or those with experience, it makes a great gift and is suitable for use with children (just leave the chemical mixing to the adults).

It comes with a digital flower negative as well to experiment with photo printing.

As an experienced photography and art teacher making cyanotypes with my students was the highlight of my year.

Simply add water to the bottles, combine a small amount of chemicals A & B, coat paper, dry in subdued light, place objects on the paper and expose to the sun. After exposing wash out in water and dry to produce vivid prussian blue prints. You can apply it to a variety of papers, natural fabrics, wood etc.

Exposure times vary depending on time of year and time of day. Exposure times are between 5-50 minutes approximately.

Kit contains:

Chemical A in bottle - add 65ml water

Chemical B in bottle - add 65 ml water

15 A5 sheets 220gsm heavyweight cartridge paper

A5 Printing frame & clips

Measuring cup & stirrer

Gloves & mixing pot

2" sponge brush
