I often sketch from life in my local town and have begun a series of tall buildings of Northampton using these sketches. the Engineering Tower on the Bedford Road is such a striking building: the colour, the shape, the setting against the trees often draw me towards it. It’s quite hidden away and such a surprise when I see it.
