Open edition archival quality giclee print of an original soft pastel and pastel pencil work which depicts the point where brains and fungi collide. A tiny mushroom form grows through and over a human brain whose stem is being held by a human hand - the viewer is asked to question whether the fungi is infecting the brain or whether the brain itself has become the fungus? An eerie but intriguing piece that will make a unique addition to any collection whether within the home or in an office environment.

Print size - 235 x 350 mm (10 x 14 inch) within a 410 x 510 mm (20 x 16 inch) off white mount.

The complexity of human-fungal relationships is seen at its most blatant within this work as the human and fungi collide within a singular frame. At its most basic the inspiration was simple as I wanted to really ask the viewer to think about quite literally about their own relationship with the fungal kingdom.
