I love a touch of humour and a bit of a leg pull - I try to introduce it into my birthday cards - and also into my ceramics. I had the idea of a cake plate - a bit of a leg-pull for those significant birthdays! Big enough for a small slice - or an individual cake.

The underside has a pretty blue-green glaze
The impressed words are in dark blue
Finished with yellow emojis and stars.
Big enough for a small slice of cake - or a muffin size cake.
I am a potter/ceramicist living in Nottinghamshire working from my home studio.
Each piece is individually made – fired twice – giving it a glossy glazed finish.
