Our face to face blackwork courses are popular so we have created a distance and online version to allow self paced study.
Kit contains sharp needles. Please keep out of reach of young children and animals.

Our comprehensive Blackwork embroidery distance and online learning course is suitable for complete beginners.
Distance learning allows study at your own pace and you will have access to the online content via Cademy.
For security we register students manually so this may take a few hours (GB time). Once registered, you receive an email direct from Cademy with your login.
Blackwork embroidery became popular in Tudor and Elizabethan times but has grown to become a wonderful way to create stunning embroidered art with very few supplies.
It is a great way to fill in large areas in any embroidery.
You will learn about appropriate fabrics and threads.
How to create filling stitches and shade using different thread thicknesses and part stitches.
Throughout the course you will have one to one tutor access via e.mail for 6 months.
(We attempt to answer e.mails the same day).
Upon completion of the course you will have all the skills needed to attempt your own pieces.
Certificate of achievement upon submission of images of the completed project.
Course dates: Any time (Kit is sent via Royal Mail, please allow 2-5 working days).
