The two books by Julie K. Owen were calling me to make small bears for a change. I already made full-sized Toy bears.

I have a selection of ‘ready to take home’ bears in a mini size. What we call a Miniature Bear, generally accepted as being less than 5” tall. Some dolls’ house owners have a house filled with Teddy residents as a change from ‘people’. Each has a name but that can be changed if you think the name doesn’t suit them !
“A stitch in time saves nine, but a stitch in a bear saves stuffing” Anonymous.
These stitches are tiny and so are the individual pieces that need stitching together to make such charming little bears.
They are made using various fabrics suitable for miniatures such as Mohair, Velvet and Upholstery fabric with Ultra suede for paw and foot pads. Each bear is made up of 20 or 21 separate pieces.
Good eyesight and a steady hand are also essential so I might not be making anymore, we will have to see. Jan
No. 1. Walter, 3” Pale blue with a white muzzle
No. 2. Snowy, 4”. White.
No. 3. Walter, 3”. Gold, white muzzle and white ears.
No. 4. George, 4” Mulberry.
No. 5. Elizabeth, 3 1/2” Gold, white muzzle.
All are made with differing types of fabric and all are collectible for the over 14’s.
