These planters are examples of a number I have been creating from wood I have saved that would otherwise have been disposed of. They are offcuts of beautiful oak that have been cut in random geometric shapes, burnt under controlled conditions and subsequently brushed down and treated.
This process enhances the amazing grain and texture of each piece but also helps preserve it. I hope you'll agree that they deserve to be displayed to enhance someones home.
They are finished with an eco friendly worktop oil as an additional layer of protection. Each of these planters is shaped by me and inspired by the material as I work it.
No two of these planters are exactly the same.
The price is an honest reflection of the time and costs to me to produce this item.

Full description
Burnt wood (Yakisugi style) decorative wooden holders for potted house plants / succulents. Suitable for small potted plants using a 6cm (width) pot which are readily available from supermarkets and garden centres. They can make a perfect decorative feature for any room in the house either individually or as a group. Suitable for indoor use.
These items are handmade by the seller in the UK and made from a beautiful pieces of repurposed oak. They are finished with an Eco Friendly worktop oil. The burning treatment and oil make these items reasonably water resistant but not waterproof and as such plants should be removed from the holders to water them. The plants should be left to drain before being replaced in the holders.
These plant holders vary slightly in size but are approx' 12cm long x 9cm wide and 9cm high. They have a hole to accept a 6cm potted plant.
I am a multimedia artist and I make a range of plant holders as well art/craft items, many from natural and repurposed materials. Please feel free to message me if you have any special requests.
As this item is made from a natural material it is quite normal for some minor imperfection, splits, cracks and flaws to be present. In the unlikely event you are in anyway not satisfied, please let me know in order to resolve the issue.
