This stunning, rescued leather and tweed were made for each other - add in the fabulous ‘Rudeneja’ bag pattern by Lavender & Twine and it’s a marriage made in heaven!
Using rescued leather that would otherwise end up in landfill, to make all the bags in my Folksy shop is a decision that I’m a little bit proud of, It allows me to create sustainable and eco-friendly products that give new life to discarded materials. Each bag is made from rescued leather and showcases the beauty and character of this Upcycled material.
I believe that by repurposing leather in this way, I am not only reducing waste but also making a positive impact on the environment. The bags I make are not just stylish and elegant, but they also serve as a reminder of the importance of conscious consumerism. In buying them, you’re helping that legacy (and you’re getting a long lasting, beautifully made, one-of-a-kind bag) and doing your part against fast fashion.

The leather used in the making of this bag is sourced from a factory that uses leather in its manufacturing process. The pieces I use are offcuts that were headed to landfill. As leather is an organic material and has natural creases, Please note that the leather that is used to make this bag is upcycled and as an organic material may have creases, variations in colour, flaws, blemishes and variations in the thickness and texture. These are not considered ‘faults’ in the product and, as such, returns and refunds will not be accepted on this basis.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
