A small off-cut of Yew (Taxus Baccata) was just begging to be used. The lid is made from a small piece of (I think) Ash - Ebonised with a specialist wood lacquer. Typical of Yew, it comes "Warts and All" - there is what looks like a thin crack which should be visible in the first photo, It is perfectly stable and is part of the fuguring in the wood.

Small Lidded box in Yew with Ebonised Lid.
It is approx. 3.5 inches high and 2.5 inches Diameter. The lid is a light friction fit.
Finished in good quality wood wax. Use it to keep treasured items or purely as an ornament.
