Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes. Found by chance.

Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, date found and re-created. Some shards collected are used as found, others are cut randomly which shape the final work. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Re-Created Pendant

I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. I visited Gateshead on a bright Monday afternoon. I found a pretty plate, badly chipped and in a box marked to be thrown away.
Some of the pattern was damaged so I wasn’t sure how the ceramic would brake and if anything would be able to be used. After a clean I gently clipped the plate and allowed the shards to fall onto a cork board. This creates random shapes to work with.
This small pendant is made from the flower pattern on the lower part of the rim. Unique and unusual, cute flower. Front glaze in tact and sides, back fully sanded and sealed with eco friendly matt sealant.
The idea is to create something new from old. The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect or highly polished but instead retain part of the original character. An old plate discovered in a box destined to be lost forever, starts again as a leaf pendant.
Pendant measures approximately 17mm x 11mm (widest) x 4mm.
Hanging on 46cm Sterling Silver 925 snake chain.
Delivered in small brown gift box, gift bag made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
