My lovely sister-in-law asked me to make one of these as a gift for her son & his wife. Took a few trials but eventually got what we were after! Thanks Linda.

Full description
Have used a flecked clay with a bit of texture and love the toasty colour it comes out as when it's fired. Tricky to show its colour in the photos as the camera doesn't quite show it exactly but it's a greeny, Scandic blue, almost duck egg coloured, through which some of the flecks in the clay show. I also love having the bottom edge of the clay exposed...great to get the feel of the clay. Perfect as a serving dish or for salad. Fired in a kiln at a stoneware temperature (c1200 degrees) makes it durable and each one comes out of the kiln looking slightly different.
Diameter - 28cm
Height - 4.6cm
The glaze is lead free and food safe. You can, in theory, put it in the dishwasher but due to its size, probably better to hand wash.
