I have a passion for the process of shou sugi ban. I love taking old wood, burning the surface and scraping away the char to reveal a more beautiful new look below. Turning that into something meaniful and special for someone else is a real pleasure.

Full description
These are handmade from pallet wood and have undergone the process of shou sugi ban. This is where the wood has been burnt on the surface then scraped away to reveal the beautiful charred grain patterns below. They are then stained green and varnished.
They are approximately 30cm wide by 33cm tall and 7cm deep, although each one may vary by a centimeter or two as they are handmade.
Each one comes with five hooks on the inside to decorate in whatever way you can imagine. Maybe some baubles, or string or photos.
Fairy lights are not included but the photo shows what they look like with them as a suggestion.
