A very warm welcome to my collection of original artwork. I just love creating pieces that captures the rugged beauty of the landscape in a moment in time.
Prior to posting, the artwork will be carefully encased in a protective wrap then secured in heavy duty packaging. If possible I will reuse appropriate materials to ensure each piece is safe during transit.

Full description
The inspiration for this expressionist painting is the beautiful area in the south-west of Sutherland, called Assynt. I am a frequent visitor to the area and love the mountains, lochs, natural coastlines and history. It is also a magical place to experience the most moving sunsets, so vibrant it seems the land is on fire.
I have used very loose, quick brush strokes to flick the acrylic paint across the canvas, deliberately using bright vibrant colours to emphasise how the rays of sunshine are absorbed across the landscape. Cutting through the painting is the cooler blue of sweet water. I have adopted this style to evoke memories and moods rather than represent the physical reality of the place.
This is an original, one-off, acrylic painting on sealed panel board. It is presented in a fresh, modern, wooden floating frame. The artwork has a protective coat and has been varnished. The size of the painting is 30.48 x 30.48 cms. The total size including the frame is: 33 x 33 x 3.5 cms.
My initials are on the side panel and it is signed at the back. Also included is a note of authentication.
I post items by first class Royal Mail within 3 working days of receiving payment. I take great care to wrap each item carefully, using re-cycled materials wherever possible.
