Having a love for swallows (I have 3 swallow tattoos) I love to use them in jewellery whenever possible.
They were first used in tattoos due to the nautical links, swallows were said to carry the souls of sailors home from the sea if they were to die whilst at sea. This maybe why I have 3 because if my swallows' sense of direction is as bad as me I need a couple of backups :D

These swallow and bow earrings have a lovely vintagey feel to them but would also go really well with rockabilly styles too!
I have used the silverplated swallow charms below dainty Tibetan silver bow connectors and finished them with deep red faceted rondelle beads. The earwires are silverplated but can be swapped for stainless steel if needed, just choose this option from the drop down menu. You can also choose clip on findings if you don't have pierced ears.
The earrings are lightweight and measure approx 7cm in total or just over 2.5 inches.
These would also be great for bird lovers, nature fans and those who love tattoo culture
