I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes. Found by chance.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, date found and re-created. Some shards collected are used as found, others are cut randomly which shape the final work. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Re-Created Earrings
October 2023
I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of ground beside the River Tees which gets boggy and drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.
I found a lovely shard of ceramic, sitting face up, a small piece of rim of a plate. Blue/green with 3 clovers, pretty dot design and raised textured edge. After a thorough clean I gently clipped the piece, I wanted to be able to preserve the clovers but unfortunately the material just broke across the patterns. I decided to store the shards created.
In October I came across the pieces and decided to use the dotted circle pattern. These earrings are made from that wonderful, found by chance, shard of a plate. I drilled a hole and fully sanded the backs due to damage to the glaze. Front glaze in tact. Sealed with eco friendly non toxic matt sealant.
The idea is to re-use the ceramic found but keep its original character. The finished item is not meant to be perfect or highly polished.
Each earring measures approximately 17mm x 8mm (widest) x 2mm
Approximate full drop 35mm.
Hanging Sterling Silver 925 hooks and jump rings.
Delivered in small brown gift box and gift bag made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
