Having a background in Arts and Engineering and having always been interested in space and science as a kid. It was probably inevitable that these influences would merge in something one way or another.
What did emerge was the idea to create a new type of moon globe with accurate raised relief. I could sort of imagine what it should look like but had no idea how to achieve it.
In the end it took around 4 years of trial and error, requiring the building of equipment and establishing new techniques before a successful globe emerged. During this process a friend trying to be helpful observed "there are easier ways of earning a living" he was probably right, but that was never the main driving force.
Anyway, after all that... hope you like them!
